Small Wonders
We want to create a business we can be proud of. Making little things special again, hospitality with
a capital H and natural, ethical products are the cornerstones of our company. For us, having hospitality as our top priority, it's all about keeping it human and putting people first. We want to treat others, as we'd like to be treated ourselves.
It's so important to be true to our principles, so we have to be conscious of the consequences of our actions, in both the short and the long term. And we do hope to leave things a little better than we find them and to encourage others to join us too, so we can be generous and make things even better.
![]() | Unckle Mick For the last eight years, Mick Doohan has been a very respected guest of Chalet La Maitreya, so automatically he became more or less the god father of Small Wonders. We've asked him to be the face of Small Wonders, while Mick truly understands the guests needs, because he travels our globe on a daily basis. We were wondering if you'd like to join Mick's family. Don't worry, he isn't a weird old dude. He's just our way of staying in touch with the people who travel i.e. you. Mick emails you our news, he'll ask you what you reckon we should do next, gives you the chance to win presents or even a holiday and he'll also invite you to any nice events we might hold. So this is the bit where we get a few more details. You know, what's your favorite shampoo, favourite holiday destination, and whether you like your fish steamed or grilled. ![]() | Biological Products We strive to do business in a more enlightened way, where we take responsibility for the impact of our business on society and the environment. This also means that we want to prepare your diner and breakfast with products that are genuinely good for you. Each of our products should have a positive health benefit and be free of manufacturing shortcuts such as concentrates, flavourings or other weird additives that make food less wholesome. ![]() | Fairtrade We sure aren't perfect, but we're trying to do the right thing. By offering fairtrade products, we try to have a net positive effect on the wonderful world around us. Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. By requiring companies to pay sustainable prices, Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives. |
And we want Small Wonders to become a honest hospitality and a natural, ethical food and product company. Which means buying our biological products straight from the local farmers or having our overseas products like cotton, coffee, tea or chocolates etc fair-traded. of Unckle Mick's family
